David Roth appointed President and CEO of Trigence Corp.
Software industry veteran to lead the company in bringing cutting-edge application container technology to market
Ottawa, ON - April 12, 2005 - Trigence Corp., the leader in application container technology, today announced the appointment of David Roth as president and chief executive officer. Roth, a software industry veteran with over 17 years of experience, brings a wealth of industry knowledge and his technology vision to a company that is pioneering the field of application containers, a technology that fundamentally changes the way businesses manage their applications.
Trigence's innovative application container software encapsulates applications and their dependencies in discrete containers, isolates them from other applications and the operating system, and enables complete application mobility. By using application containers, businesses can reduce application management costs, speed the delivery of new applications to users and simplify their configuration management processes.
"We are very pleased to have attracted someone of David Roth's caliber to Trigence. David is a seasoned software executive whose solid sales background, leadership skills and customer focus will enable Trigence to capitalize on the company's growing market opportunity," said Ron Warburton, chairman of the board of Trigence. "David not only brings highly relevant sector experience to Trigence, but also a passion for the technology and its value to Trigence customers."
Roth joins Trigence from Hewlett-Packard, where he was one of two key executives involved in integrating Consera Software into HP after its acquisition in February 2004. Roth also played a key role in helping bring the HP OpenView Automation Manager to market, the data center automation product built using the acquired Consera technology and a critical management component of HP's Adaptive Enterprise initiative. Prior to HP, Roth was vice-president of sales and business development at Consera. Roth came to Consera with a proven management track record, having founded and built Stratis Consulting into an award-winning technology services company. Stratis was later acquired by Internosis. Before Stratis, Roth held high-impact senior positions with TRECOM (currently Fujitsu/DMR), PSCI (currently Ness International), Microsoft and NYNEX (formerly a division of IBM).
Chuck Colford, a founder of Trigence, and previously president and CEO, will continue with the company as a member of the board of directors, while Roth assumes responsibility for the company's operations and the development and execution of its strategic plans. "I am confident that under David's leadership, Trigence will thrive and continue to deliver compelling solutions to our customers," said Colford. "David's industry experience and customer-driven focus are welcome and important additions to Trigence."
"Trigence's unique technology and skilled technical team provide a strong foundation for success, and I believe that the business leadership I can contribute will drive the company to the next stages in its development," said Roth. "I have achieved success in previous opportunities through establishing a track record of building strong teams, creating customer-centric technology and dramatically increasing shareholder value, and I look forward to accomplishing these same results at Trigence. Trigence has already established a proven track record of building compelling software, delivering innovative technology and solving critical data center problems, and I am very excited about our future."
