Trigence announces support for RedHat Enterprise Server 3.0

Trigence AE broadens ability to deliver application containerization to LINUX customers

Ottawa, ON - February 8, 2005 – Trigence Corp., the leader in application containerization for higher application availability and configuration management, today announced support for RedHat Enterprise Server 3.0, broadening its reach into the LINUX server market. The company’s flagship product, Trigence AE, uses a unique container approach to virtualization that allows data centers to achieve high availability and flexible application configuration management.

“Our LINUX customers are increasingly moving to RedHat Enterprise Server 3.0 distributions as they increase the number of enterprise applications running on LINUX,” said Paul O’Leary, vice president, research and development at Trigence. “The demand for RedHat ES 3.0 support was growing and we responded to that demand. The powerful enterprise-class functionality of RedHat Enterprise Server 3.0 combined with Trigence’s ability to containerize LINUX applications will help our customers improve service levels, manage cradle-to-grave configuration lifecycles and reduce non-discretionary costs.”

By placing an application and its dependencies into a secure, thin software container, Trigence AE turns the application into a highly protected, portable and manageable object, separate from the underlying server and infrastructure. As a result, applications can be moved among servers and co-located on a single operating system with simple click, drag and drop functionality and secured against changes in the infrastructure. Data centers can achieve greater agility while lowering the everyday costs of managing, moving, tracking and securing applications.
