Product Manager

Looking for an opportunity to work in one of the hottest markets in IT today?  Do you want to work with the leading industry analysts, and are you able to hold your own on a panel with other vendors?  Are you looking to work with a pioneer in Virtualization technology with one of the best positioned pre-IPO companies in the space?  Then maybe you are the kind of person Trigence is looking to bring into the family.

Trigence is looking for a dynamic individual that understands technology and can write and communicate well.  This individual will probably have Sales Engineer (SE) or Professional Services experience.  This individual will quickly become a product expert and will be able to evangelize our products and new features both internally and externally.  This individual will be at home in the lab and will understand how to put competitive analysis documentation together.  This individual will know the difference between an MRD and PRD and will know how to put a business case together.

Sound good so far?  Here are the candidacy qualifications:

• At least six years experience in product management or as an SE or in Professional Services (or a mix of them all).
• A thorough understanding of application and server technologies and how virtualization impacts them.
• Experience calling on and presenting to both customers and prospects (don’t bother applying if you have not made sales calls).
• Success in running BETA programs.
• Demonstrated success working with R&D.
• Know what use cases are and how they are part of the development process.
• Excellent writing skills (you must be able to communicate your ideas).
• Bring samples of a PRD or engineering spec that you have put together.
• Bring samples of competitive documents you have put together.
• Read up on and be prepared to discuss application virtualization.
